該機按配套動力輸出型式分為左側動力輸出與后動力輸出兩種機型，分別與四輪拖拉機左側動力輸出、后動力輸出配套使用。機具由拖拉機駕駛員單人操作，機動性能好，遇有障礙物時可操作拖拉機的液壓裝置提升割刀。該機具具有結構簡單、操作方便、割刀切割有力、割茬低且整齊、使用可靠等特點。
